Dr. Noopur Desai

Dr. Noopur Desai, a globally recognized Veterinary Radiation Oncologist, is the founder of The Cancer Vet. She embarked on her journey in the field of veterinary science in 2008 and further honed her skills by completing her Masters in Veterinary Science in Surgery and Radiology in 2010.

Driven by her passion for enhancing cancer care for pets, she moved to the United States to pursue a fellowship in Medical Oncology from Michigan State University. Her quest for knowledge led her to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she completed a residency in Radiation Oncology. In 2017, she achieved Diplomate status from ACVR (R. Oncology), joining the elite group of less than 100 board-certified Veterinary Radiation Oncologists worldwide.

Dr. Desai’s expertise is not limited to clinical practice. She has also served as an Assistant Professor in Oncology at the Ohio State University (OSU) College of Veterinary Medicine, sharing her knowledge with the next generation of veterinarians.

Returning to India, she founded The Cancer Vet with a mission to bring world-class cancer care to pets in her home country. Her passion extends beyond treating patients; she is dedicated to teaching a newer generation of veterinarians and conducting clinical research to advance the field of veterinary oncology.
