Dr. Aarathi S Nair grew up in Kerala — a place full of greenery, stories, and animals. It was around the age of 15, when she had a cat of her own, that something changed in her. That bond made her realise how deeply animals could touch our lives — and that’s when she decided she wanted to spend her life helping them.

This calling turned into a path. She went on to study veterinary medicine, completing her B.V.Sc. and M.V.Sc. in Microbiology from Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. This gave her a strong foundation in understanding animal disease at its core.

At some point, she knew she wanted to seek something different — to do something better, something meaningful. That’s when she came across The Cancer Vet. She had heard about Dr. Noopur and the amazing work being done there, and it truly inspired her. That’s when she knew she wanted to go further and study oncology. Today, at The Cancer Vet, she is proud to be part of the change.

Outside of work, she finds joy in painting, dancing, singing… and nurturing life through gardening. It reminds her that healing takes time, care, and a bit of faith — not too different from what she does at work.

For her, being a vet isn’t just a profession — it’s a purpose. And every day, she is grateful for the chance to make a difference.
