She is a diplomate with the American college of veterinary Radiology ACVR) in radiation oncology.

After completing her fellowship in Medical Oncology at Michigan state university and her residency in radiation oncology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Dr Noopur Desai worked as an Assistant professor in Oncology at the Ohio State University.

One of the main reasons she moved back to India was to bring home what she learned over the years in the US and to enhance cancer care for the pets here. Her passion is treating patients, training a newer generation of veterinarians, and performing clinical research.

Dr. Noopur Desai is a renowned Veterinary Radiation Oncologist recognized worldwide for her contributions to the field. Her journey began in 2008, leading to a Masters in Veterinary Science in Surgery and Radiology in 2010.

In the United States, she pursued a fellowship in Medical Oncology at Michigan State University and completed a Radiation Oncology residency at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her dedication led to becoming a Diplomate of ACVR (R. Oncology) in 2017, establishing her as a top Veterinary Radiation Oncologist.

Dr. Desai’s impact also extends to education. As an Assistant Professor at Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she mentored future veterinarians, emphasizing modern oncology skills. Back in India, she founded The Cancer Vet to provide exceptional cancer care for pets.

Her commitment to teaching and advancing veterinary oncology through research and innovation remains unwavering.

Dr. David Vail

Dr. David Vail is a renowned figure in the field of comparative oncology with over thirty years of experience. He has been instrumental in designing and implementing clinical trials in companion dogs with cancer. Dr. Vail received his DVM from the University of Saskatchewan and has since been a leading voice in veterinary oncology. He currently holds the Suran Chair in Comparative Oncology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a member of the UW Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Dr. Michelle Turek is a distinguished Clinical Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Wisconsin. She received her DVM from the University of Montreal and is a dual diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) and the American College of Veterinary Radiology (Radiation Oncology). Dr. Turek’s expertise lies in the field of radiation oncology, and she is dedicated to advancing veterinary cancer treatment through her work.

Dr. Laura Selmic is an Clinical Associate Professor of surgical oncology at the Ohio State University. She is an ACVS and ECVS small animal surgery diplomate and an ACVS founding fellow of surgical oncology, and maxillofacial and oral surgery. Dr. Selmic’s work is recognized globally, and she has contributed significantly to the field of veterinary surgical oncology.
